Piercing Types

This is a selection of the terminology for various genital piercings though it is not exhaustive and there. The piercings that you can get may vary depending on your individual anatomy and a piercer can help you determine what piercings you are able to get!

  • Vertical Clitoral Hood (VCH)

    This piercing passes vertically through the clitoral hood and is typically pierced with a curved barbell, although other jewelry styles are possible depending on the person's anatomy. These piercings are reported to increase stimulation. These are typically pretty easy to get as well as heal.

  • Inner Labia

    Inner labia piercings involve the piercing of the inner folds of the labia minora, adding a decorative element. These piercings will easily stretch themselves over time.

  • Outer Labia

    Outer labia piercings are placed on the outer folds of the labia majora and are decorative.

  • Triangle

    A triangle piercing passes horizontally beneath the clitoral shaft, often enhancing sensitivity.

  • Christina

    A piercing that enters through mon pubis and exits where the outer labia meet at the top of the genitals. This is a surface piercing that not everyone is suited for.

  • Prince Albert (PA)

    This is a penis piercing that enters on the underside of the penis below the glans and exits through the urethra. These are one of the most common genital piercings. It can affect urination even if you remove the jewelry.

  • Frenum

    This is a piercing that goes through the loose skin on the underside of the penis. People will sometimes add more than one which can be referred to as a Jacob’s ladder in slang terms. These are generally considered a pretty easy piercing to get and heal.

  • Scrotal

    Scrotal piercings are placed horizontally through the skin of the scrotum.

  • Guiche

    This is a type of scrotum piercing that is placed horizontally in the perineum area, which is the stretch of skin between the anus and the testicles.

  • Ampallang

    These piercings pass horizontally through the head of the penis, from one side to the other. It is considered a very intense piercing to receive.

  • Apadravya

    An apadravya piercing is a vertical genital piercing that passes through the head of the penis from top to bottom. It is considered a very intense piercing to receive.

  • Dydoe

    Dydoe piercings are surface piercings on the ridge of the coronal rim of the penis head.

  • Foreskin

    Foreskin piercings involve piercing the fold of skin that covers the head of the penis, known as the foreskin.
